The IAD progression is comprised of
20 jumps. Each jump builds upon the lessons learned in the
previous jumps. The IAD course begins with two
jumps where the student's parachute in deployed upon exit from
the aircraft. Once the students parachute is open, they
make a solo canopy descent while being guided from the ground
by a qualified instructor using a radio. Following the initial
two jumps, students perform 3 practice rip cord pulls. On subsequent jumps, the student pulls
his or her own ripcord deploying the parachute after a pre defined
delay giving the student increasing exposure to freefall. |
